Taurasi "DeLisio" DOCG - De Lisio Estate Winery

Taurasi DOCG “ Delisio ” is a ruby ​​red wine with orange highlights. On the nose it expresses itself with a broad and complex bouquet, which contains hints of cherry, licorice and spices, enriched by delicate balsamic notes. On the palate it offers a full and enveloping experience, with a pleasant acidity, tannicity and flavor that underline its longevity. A well-structured taste and engaging complexity that culminates in a persistent finish.

PRODUCTION AREA: Montemarano (Av), Italy.
GRAPES: Aglianico 100%.
VINEYARDS: Aglianico trained using the spurred cordon system on clayey and calcareous soil with a density of approximately 3,000 plants per hectare.
HARVEST TIME: Beginning of November, manual in crates.
VINIFICATION: Maceration for 25 days and fermentation at an uncontrolled temperature with two daily pumping overs.
REFINEMENT and MATURATION: Refinement and maturation for 24 months in barrique, subsequently in steel tanks before completing the refinement in the bottle.
ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS: Ruby red with orange highlights. On the nose hints of cherry, licorice and spices with some balsamic notes. Good olfactory complexity. Rich on the palate with still evident acidity, tannicity and flavor. Certainly long-aging.
FOOD PAIRINGS: It goes well with roasts, game and mature cheeses.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: It should be served at a temperature of 16°-18° C.
