SUMMONTE VINEYARDS
The company owns 4 hectares of land cultivated with Fiano, they are located at 600 meters with a north-east exposure. The plant was created in 1992. Counter-espalier training system, Guyot. Plant density: 2500 vines per hectare. Low yield per hectare. The soil is composed of sandy clay marl and conglomerates of upper sandstone. Due to its geographical position and its morphology, Summonte enjoys a temperate-cold climate. During the summer, temperatures vary, on average, from 20 to 23 degrees while temperature variations are calculated around 17 degrees. The incisive presence of winds, in every season, makes the air particularly clear and healthy. During the winter, however, short-term snowfall occurs which allows the territory to be rich in water coming from the deep valleys that descend from the mountain.
MONTEFREDANE VINEYARDS
The company owns 3 hectares of land cultivated with Fiano, they are located at 500 meters with south-east exposure. The plant was created in 2002. Training system against espalier, double Guyot. Plant density: 3000 vines per hectare. Low yield per hectare. The soil is composed of sandy clay marl and conglomerates of upper sandstone. Due to its geographical position and its morphology, Montefredane enjoys a dry and windy climate. Its microclimate is characterized by sunny summers and fairly rigid winters, with strong winds. In autumn, the strong temperature variations lead to a slow ripening and determine a late harvest, generally carried out for Fiano between mid and late October.
